Self Fusing Tape
Self-fusing tape is a non-adhesive rubber splicing tape that bonds to itself when stretched and wrapped, creating waterproof, insulated connections for automotive, marine, and electrical applications. This unique tape forms permanent rubber coverings without sticky residue by fusing into a single homogeneous layer that withstands extreme temperatures from -53°C to 260°C (-65°F to 500°F). Available in 22-foot and 10-foot rolls rated for 8000 volts per layer and meeting MIL-I-46852C Type 2 standards, self-fusing tape provides superior insulation alternative to heat shrink tubing while resisting UV, oil, and corrosive chemicals.
- Bonds without adhesive by stretching and wrapping onto itself, creating seamless waterproof rubber coverings
