Relays

Relays

Automotive relays route heavy power directly from the battery to high-draw accessories such as lights, fans, and horns, eliminating the risk of switch overheating and ensuring maximum component performance. Techspan stocks 12VDC and 24VDC relays in micro (4- and 5-terminal), ISO, ISO-280, heavy-duty, and high-power formats, with Form A (SPST) and Form C (SPDT) configurations. Heavy-duty 12VDC relays carry 40A normally open / 30A normally closed, while high-power models handle 70A / 60A; 24VDC ratings run 20A / 15A. Sealed weather-resistant and built-in-fuse versions extend reliable switching to exposed and aftermarket installations.

  • Amperage ratings: 12VDC heavy-duty 40A/30A and high-power 70A/60A; 24VDC 20A/15A, with weather-resistant 30A/20A options.
  • Suppressor types: diode (eliminates spikes for digital components), resistor (clamps to under 100V), or none.
  • Bracket options: detachable metal brackets or factory-attached plastic brackets, plus unsealed bracket-supplied models.
  • Weather-resistant models: sealed 12–24VDC relays protect against dirt, dust, and moisture; marked with the Weather-Resistant symbol.
  • Specialty designs: ISO-280 and ISO 5-terminal layouts, plus a 5-terminal relay with built-in 30A blade fuse for integrated circuit protection.
